The PLAYFULGHOST information-stealing malware is being spread through phishing and SEO poisoning attacks, according to Google’s Managed Defense team. The malware, similar to Gh0st RAT, uses malicious emails and deceptive download prompts to infect systems, and can log keystrokes, capture screenshots, gather account and system information. It can also deploy rootkits like Mimikatz and erase data from apps like Telegram, QQ, and Skype.
