Energy company National Oilwell Varco (NOV) implemented a Zero Trust architecture to revolutionize its cybersecurity stance, recording a 35-fold drop in security incidences and removing the need for malware-related PC reimaging altogether. The transition to Zscaler’s Zero Trust platform and its zero trust model has also reportedly saved the company millions by discarding unnecessary legacy hardware. These new measures give NOV’s 27,500 staff and third-party operators policy-based access to thousands of applications without exposing them directly to the internet.
