North Korean-linked hackers were caught experimenting with new macOS malware

North Korean hackers have reportedly been found embedding malware in macOS applications. The malicious code was detected in three versions of an application software development kit, which had passed Apple’s notarization process – a security check designed to identify harmful code in software. The malware was found inside a clone of the Minesweeper game, however, whether the malware was used actively or as a test vector remains unclear.
