North Korean Hackers Spread Malware via Fake Crypto Firms and Job Interview Lures

North Korea-affiliated hackers are using front companies to lure victims with fake job interviews and spread malware. The threat actors, linked to a campaign called Contagious Interview, use three front companies in the cryptocurrency industry to propagate malware via the hiring process. Cybersecurity company Silent Push found the campaign was distributing three known malware families: BeaverTail, InvisibleFerret, and OtterCookie. The operation employs bogus social media accounts and fraudulent job advertisements to ensnare victims.
