An investigation into a cyber attack on Bermuda’s Government computer systems has found no evidence so far that personal data was accessed by third parties. Premier David Burt said at a press conference that although there is “a significant amount of data” on the systems, no forensic evidence suggests any information was taken. Burt ensured residents that if a breach is discovered, affected individuals would be immediately notified. Despite personal information protection laws not coming into effect until January 2025, Burt assured that the government would act in the citizens’ best interests.
