The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released a draft NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework to help US employers identify, maintain, recruit, and develop cybersecurity talent. The framework, which defines over 50 work roles and organizes the workforce into seven high-level categories, was developed over a few years in collaboration with academics, industry, and government agencies. The goal of the framework is to help organizations build a well-educated staff to protect data and systems.
