NIST finalizes 3 post-quantum cryptography standards

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released the first three post-quantum encryption standards to protect cybersecurity protocols from decryption by quantum computers. The algorithms, known as FIPS 203, 204 and 205, are aimed at resisting quantum-powered cyberattacks, to enable a quantum-safe transformation strategy for organizations. Specifically, healthcare organizations are encouraged to transition to these new standards to tackle increasing AI-enhanced cyberattacks.
