NHS’s cyber attack nightmare carries on with 1,134 operations and hundreds of appointments still being cancelled two weeks after hackers triggered ‘critical incident’ at London hospitals

A ransomware attack, allegedly by Russian group Qilin, on pathology services provider Synnovis has continued to disrupt London NHS trusts. Two weeks after the incident, 1,134 operations and hundreds of appointments have been cancelled. Figures show that while the number of rearranged operations has decreased by 494 since the first week after the attack, the number of postponed outpatient appointments has risen by 394. Despite these difficulties, urgent and emergency services are operating as normal.
