NHS to improve cybersecurity posture with Windows 10 migration

The UK National Health Service (NHS) has signed an agreement with Microsoft to upgrade its computer systems to Windows 10 following the WannaCry cyber attack last year. The aim is to improve cyber resilience and response capabilities. The attack affected one-third of health trusts and led to the cancellation of 20,000 appointments. The NHS has until June to determine its plans to improve its cybersecurity posture. The vulnerabilities faced by the NHS are similar to those seen in US health systems.
