NHS stands by as GPs force elderly patients to book online

According to a poll by campaign group Silver Voices, one out of six practices are illegally requiring their patients to book appointments online, therefore breaching their contracts. This has been criticised as it seemingly abandons patients unable to navigate technology. NHS England has been accused of failing to enforce the rules and instead suggested patients complaining to practice managers or Integrated Care Boards. Silver Voices is calling on NHS England to penalise practices not complying with the contract.
