NHS Ransomware Hack: 1,500 Medical Appointments Rescheduled

A ransomware attack on NHS IT vendor Synovia forced medical appointments, including critical cancer treatments and organ transplants, to be rescheduled at two London hospitals. The attack continues to disrupt operations with severe impacts on services like blood testing. The total restoration of affected systems is expected to take months. Despite the significant disruption caused by the attack, ransomware and cybersecurity remain low policy priorities for British political parties.
