An investigation has been launched by the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) into claims of a security flaw with an application programming interface (API) at private healthcare provider Medefer. The company which processes around 1,500 NHS patient referrals claims no data was compromised and the flaw was fixed a few days after its discovery. No evidence of data being compromised has been found.
