In response to escalating cyber threats, the UK’s National Data Guardian and NHS England have announced a new cyber resilience framework for health and social care organisations. As part of the ‘Cyber security strategy for health and social care: 2023 to 2030’, organisations will shift from using the NDG’s 10 data security standards to the National Cyber Security Centre’s cyber assessment framework from 2 September 2024. This change follows numerous high-profile cyber attacks on NHS services.
