NHS England and the National Data Guardian (NDG) are updating health and social care organisations’ data security measures, shifting their assessment foundation from the NDG’s 10 data security standards to the National Cyber Security Centre’s Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF). The move is in line with the Department of Health and Social Care’s 2023 to 2030 cyber security strategy and will further align health and care with other industry’s cyber resilience standards.
