NHS Dumfries and Galloway warns everyone to ‘assume data has been published’ following cyber attack

The NHS Dumfries and Galloway has warned residents to assume their data was leaked following a cyber attack on their servers in February this year. While patient records were not affected, test results, patient letters, X-rays and potentially staff and patient data were stolen and released online. The health board has since strengthened security measures and is working with the police and government bodies on the investigation.
