A ransomware group has released a large volume of NHS Dumfries and Galloway patient data on the dark web, despite warnings of more releases if payment was not made. The new CEO of the health board, Julie White, called it an “utterly abhorrent criminal act” and confirmed work was in progress to assess the published data with national agencies.
