The healthcare sector is working on cybersecurity issues related to legacy medical devices. The FDA has asked MITRE to develop a white paper on viable solutions, focusing on helping lower-resourced healthcare organizations. Working with stakeholders, MITRE has identified challenges and made several recommendations, such as shared responsibility over the device lifecycle, vulnerability management, workforce development and mutual aid.
