Newly discovered Android malware has infected thousands of devices

Android streaming boxes, such as the T95 and similar inexpensive knockoffs, may come pre-installed with malware named Badbox and Peachpit. These Trojans initiate fraudulent schemes, prompting malicious ads and emails. Some 200 Android device models could potentially be affected. The solution is to be cautious when buying such boxes, researching the brand before purchase, and avoiding clicking on ads. Although Google removed the malicious apps from their Play Store, the vulnerability remains.
