New Web injections campaign steals banking data from 50,000 people

A new malware campaign, discovered by IBM’s security team, targeted over 50,000 users of 40 banks in North America, South America, Europe, and Japan. The attackers used JavaScript web injections to steal banking data and one-time passwords. The stealthy attack begins with infecting the victim’s device using malicious scripts loaded from the attackers’ server and capturing the user’s login credentials.
