The cybersecurity team at Georgia Tech developed Detector of Victim-specific Accessibility (DVa), a tool that detects malware exploiting smartphone accessibility features. DVa scans the user’s device in the cloud, identifies infected apps, and assists in their safe removal. The tool also sends a report to Google, allowing it to flag and potentially remove the harmful apps from its Play Store.
