New Malware Attacking MacOS Users

Researchers have identified a new Trojan attacking macOS users, linked to the BlueNoroff APT group’s ongoing RustBucket campaign. The financially motivated group particularly targets banking sectors and cryptocurrency businesses. The Trojan was discovered within a PDF file titled “Crypto-assets and their risks for financial stability,” and it’s suspected to have spread through email campaigns. The Trojan collects and communicates various system information to the C&C server, waiting for one of three commands in response.
