New information blocking rules from HHS could cost noncompliant providers thousands

Healthcare providers may face financial penalties for information blocking under a proposed rule by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The rule targets healthcare providers, who could be penalised and may face disincentives related to federal reimbursement programs. HHS is seeking public comments on the rule until January 2, 2024.
