Security researchers at Blackwing Intelligence have uncovered vulnerabilities in Dell, Lenovo, and Microsoft laptops that could allow hackers to bypass Windows Hello fingerprint authentication. The flaws exist in the fingerprint sensors from Goodix, Synaptics, and ELAN embedded in the devices. Despite safeguards like Microsoft’s Secure Device Connection Protocol, the researchers discovered methods to circumvent protections and stage adversary-in-the-middle attacks.
