New centre to combat cyber threats posed to Australian healthcare

Australia’s Home Affairs Minister, Clare O’Neil, has announced a $6.4 million fund for an Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC) to secure the country’s healthcare system against cyberattacks. The ISAC will pilot a network for sharing information on cyber threats, strategies and precautionary steps. Due to the sector’s vulnerability and sensitivity, applications for the pilot grant will close on July 23, 2024.
