New attack steals AI secrets from GPUs made by Apple, AMD, and Qualcomm

Researchers have found a vulnerability in mainstream graphics processing units (GPUs) from companies like Apple, Qualcomm, and AMD, which can allow hackers to steal large amounts of data from a GPU’s memory. Named LeftoverLocals, the vulnerability requires hackers to have some level of operating system access on the target’s device and can break data silos, making data accessible.
