New AppLite Malware Targets Banking Apps in Phishing Campaign

A sophisticated phishing campaign distributing a malware variant called AppLite Banker targets Android devices. The hackers behind it pose as HR representatives and get people to download it by tricking them with fake job offers. The malware is an evolution of the Antidot banking Trojan, stealing credentials and compromising devices for personal and corporate exploits. It manipulates zip files, embedding malicious scripts in HTML overlays to evade detection. It targets financial platforms and cryptocurrency wallets among 172 apps.
