Nebraska lawsuit filed against three U.S. healthcare companies

Nebraska’s attorney general is suing Change Healthcare and its parent companies, United Healthcare and Optum, for data breaches that exposed personal and sensitive medical information of about 100 million people across the U.S., including 575,000 Nebraskans. The violations could attract fines of up to $2,000 each. Nebraska is the first state to file such a suit, with the possibility of others following.
