Nebraska’s Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against Change Healthcare, owned by UnitedHealth Group (UHG), for exposing the sensitive healthcare information of state residents and disrupting healthcare provision after a ransomware attack in February. The lawsuit claims that the company failed to implement appropriate security measures, violating state consumer protection and data security laws. The cyberattack, one of the most impactful in US history, affected approximately 100 million Americans, leading to significant disruption in healthcare services.
