Nebraska AG Files 1st State Lawsuit in Change Health Breach

Nebraska’s attorney general has filed a lawsuit against UnitedHealth Group (UHG) and its subsidiary Change Healthcare, alleging failures in security measures resulting in a massive data breach. The lawsuit asserts these companies exposed the personal health information of 575,000 to possibly one million Nebraskans. The state is seeking stronger data security measures and financial damages for harmed residents and healthcare providers. Expectations indicate that further states will join in legal action against UHG and Change Healthcare.
