The amendments demand quicker response times, robust healthcare cybersecurity features, better visibility of threats, and improvements to cyber risk management. They include technical inventories, multi-factor authentication, and improved risk assessments. New measures such as rigorous vendor oversight, mandatory encryption standards, formal incident response plans, disaster recovery and backups, yearly compliance audits, workforce security access management, and network testing are also included.
