National Public Data breach publishes private data of 2.9B U.S. citizens

The private information of nearly 3 billion people was sold on the dark web following a data breach at Florida-based background check company, National Public Data. The breach, considered one of the largest ever, included names, social security numbers, and addresses. National Public Data hasn’t publicly acknowledged the breach yet.
