A Russian gang known as Qilin hacked into an NHS blood testing database, leading to cancelled operations and the potential release of sensitive patient data on the dark web. The gang, which has reportedly been attempting to extort funds from NHS providers, claimed responsiblity for the attack on systems run by Synnovis, a pathology service company. The leaked information includes patient names, birth dates, and descriptions of blood tests.
