Google’s investment in AI-driven threat detection stopped 2.36 million policy-violating apps from being published on Google Play last year, according to a company blog. The tech giant also barred over 158,000 rogue developer accounts. The use of Google’s advanced AI improved systems’ capability to detect malware, with 92% of human reviews for harmful apps now AI-augmented. The advanced AI helped to reduce unnecessary access to users’ sensitive data by more than 1.3 million apps.
