M&S says personal customer data stolen in recent cyber attack

Marks and Spencer’s ongoing issues, which cost the retailer £43m weekly in lost sales, include a cyber intrusion where personal customer data was stolen. While there’s no evidence the information has been shared, there’s risk of identity fraud if hackers decide to sell the data. M&S is communicating with its customers and working with cybersecurity experts to rectify this situation. Similar attack also impacted The Co-op.
