Indian service provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which operates Marks & Spencer’s IT helpdesk, is probing whether its systems were used in a cyberattack on the UK retailer. The cybercriminals who accessed M&S’s systems over Easter supposedly used TCS’s system. M&S has said the attack could cost it up to £300m ($414m). The incident is under investigation by the UK’s data watchdog, the Information Commissioner’s Office, which can impose hefty fines for data breaches.
