Mozilla Updates Firefox Terms Again After Backlash Over Broad Data License Language

Mozilla has revised its Firefox Terms of Use for the second time in a week, following backlash over the broad language that suggested the company held rights to users’ uploaded information. The updated terms clarify that while Mozilla can process user data to run Firefox, it does not own content users input in Firefox. Additionally, the company stressed it does not sell or buy user data.
