Cybersecurity firm Zscaler has discovered over 90 malware-infested Android apps on Google Play. These apps, including “TeaBot” Anatsa, were disguised as PDF and QR code scanners, and fitness and health apps. The apps have been downloaded 5.5 million times. By the week’s end, they were removed from Google Play. Android users are encouraged to be vigilant as malware can be disguised as everyday tool apps and can bypass Google’s security screenings.
