More than 20% of healthcare organizations changed senior leadership after cyberattack: survey

Over 80% of healthcare organizations reported a cyberattack on their technology infrastructure in the past year, according to a study by cybersecurity firm Netwrix. Almost 70% of the attacks resulted in financial damage, and 20% experienced leadership changes post-attack. The data also showed that 19% faced lawsuits post-cyberattacks. The healthcare sector is a prime target due to the value of healthcare data and is also highly regulated, leading to more penalties for noncompliance.
