More appointments and procedures delayed in aftermath of NHS cyber attack

Due to a ransomware attack by Russian cyber gang Qilin on Synnovis, a London-based Pathology services provider in June, 1,300 outpatient appointments and 205 elective procedures have been postponed at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. A total of 3,396 outpatient appointments and 1,255 elective procedures have been postponed since June 3. The stolen data has been published online. Pathology services are operating at 45% capacity.
