A Mirai botnet variant has been discovered exploiting a security flaw in Four-Faith industrial routers to conduct distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, primarily affecting China, Iran, Russia, Turkey, and the US. The malware has exploited more than 20 known security vulnerabilities and weak Telnet credentials since February 2024.
