Millions of Americans’ personal data exposed in global hack

Millions of people in Louisiana and Oregon have had their data compromised after a cyberattack hit the US federal government. About 3.5 million citizens in Oregon and every citizen in Louisiana with state IDs or drivers’ licenses had their data exposed. The federal government believed a Russian ransomware gang orchestrated the attack, exploiting vulnerability in MOVEit software, affecting hundreds of global organizations.
