Microsoft’s threat intelligence team has identified a new strain of ransomware, called INC, being used to target the U.S. healthcare sector by a group known as Vanilla Tempest. The team has observed the group using various tools such as GootLoader, AnyDesk RMM, and MEGA before deploying the ransomware. Vanilla Tempest had previously targeted education, healthcare, IT, and manufacturing sectors with different ransomware families.
