The cybersecurity firm Kroll has recorded a significant increase in DARKGATE malware distributed through Microsoft Teams messages. Most affected by this activity are the transportation and hospitality sectors, with the hackers using seemingly innocuous file names like “Vacation schedule”. The company suspects that a tool similar to TeamsPhisher is being used to facilitate access to the malware.
