In collaboration with global law enforcement, Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit (DCU) has taken down the Lumma Stealer malware project. Over 394,000 Windows computers were infected with Lumma malware between March and May. A US court order enabled the DCU to disable Lumma’s supporting web domains. Additional help from Japan, Europol, and tech industry leaders assisted in shutting down the malware.
