Microsoft network breached through password-spraying by Russian-state hackers

Russian state-backed hackers accessed sensitive emails and documents from Microsoft’s corporate network by exploiting a weak password. The group, known as Midnight Blizzard, reportedly compromised a non-production test tenant account, which had been given wide access privileges. Despite assurances that customer data, source code, and AI systems remain secure, cybersecurity experts have expressed concern over potential vulnerabilities in Microsoft 365.
