MGMA, CHIME ask Trump to rescind proposed HIPAA Security Rule

Industry groups have written to President Trump and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling for them to withdraw updates to the HIPAA Security Rule proposed by the Biden administration. Eight industry associations, including the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, signed the letter, citing cost and regulatory burden concerns. The groups warn that the rule would increase complexity and hamper innovation in the sector.
