A US federal judge has approved a preliminary settlement of $45m against MGM Resorts International in a class action lawsuit over data breaches in 2019 and 2023. Around 37 million guests had their data exposed in the breaches. Affected customers can claim up to $15,000, plus financial account monitoring and a flat cash payment depending on the extent of their data exposure. The settlement class members will be informed about the settlement via email or post within 30 days of preliminary approval.
