The Gene-Metabolite Association Prediction (GeneMAP) platform identified a gene essential for mitochondrial choline transport. This finding suggests that the gene, SLC25A48, regulates choline availability. The study may aid in understanding diseases related to metabolic function and development of therapeutics.
