Wirral University Teaching Hospital Trust is still in recovery process following a cyber incident that led to temporary service disruption. As the emergency treatment is prioritized, the hospital expects longer waiting times in the emergency department. People with non-emergencies are advised to use other health services. The Merseyside Police are working with the National Crime Agency and National Cyber Security Centre to resolve the issue.
