The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that monthly Medicare Part A and B premiums would rise by 6% in 2024. Premiums will increase from $164.90 to $174.70, and the annual deductible for Medicare Part B beneficiaries will rise from $226 to $240. The increase is principally due to projected rises in healthcare spending and the remedy for the 340B-acquired drug payment policy under the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System.
